 | Visitors are encouraged to be sensitive to the needs of patients and to observe the following established visiting hours and guidelines specific to individual nursing units. |
| Unit | Visiting Hours | | Medical/Surgical Unit | Visitors are welcome between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. | | Special Care Unit | Visitors are restricted to two people at a time for 10 minutes every two hours between 8:50 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Arrangements for special circumstances can be made by calling 465-4141 ext. 235. | | Outpatient Surgery | Two visitors per patient. No children, under the age of 12, may visit. |
All other areas of the Hospital observe open visiting hours. Entry to the Hospital may be gained through the following entrances: | Entrance | Access Times | Map | | Family Medical Center entrance (1) | | | | Physical Therapy - West Wing Access (2) | Doors are open from 5:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. | | Visiting Specialists entrance (3) | | | Main Entrance (4) | Doors are open from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Although doors are locked at 10:00 p.m., visitors can exit through these doors at all times. | | Emergency Room (5) | Entrance remains open 24 hours a day. Please keep in mind that the wishes of patients, their roommates and staff should always be considered when it comes to the number of visitors and visiting hours (even when no visiting hours or restrictions are in place). For our patients' safety and well-being, do not visit if you have or are recovering from a contagious disease. | Mail should be sent to Hospital patients addressed as:
(Patient’s full name) Paris Community Hospital 721 East Court Street Paris, Illinois 61944-2420 Using the patient’s home address as the return address on the mailing envelope will make forwarding mail easier should the patient be discharged. You may send an E-card to patients by clicking here. Patients may place outgoing calls 24 hours a day. To avoid interrupting their rest, incoming patient calls are accepted only between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. daily. Calls received after these times will be directed to the nursing station. Outside calls can be made directly on a touchtone phone by dialing 465-2606 and then entering the three-digit room number. If you do not have a touchtone phone or do not know the room number, someone is always available to assist by calling 465-4141. A Discharge Planner is available to assist Hospital patients in making arrangements for assisted living, rehab facilities, or long term facilities. Assistance also can be obtained for:
- home medical equipment
- respiratory services
- home care services
- transportation information
- other financial assistance information
- oxygen
- visiting nurse services
- senior programs
- Medicare
